One you are enlightened (awakened), the true self is present within. It operates behind the scenes and infiltrates through what we think is the sub conscious mind. From time to time we receive “inspiration” from the true self. It works to provide direction on the path if we follow these messages, our lives are moved forward on the path just like having a teacher appear. We often are not aware that these events have moved us forward until much later-usually after we are enlightened. However, they are there, helping us move forward whether we know it or not
